California RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) Training:
Why do I need RBS Training?
California law does not mandate RBS training. However, some cities require it for servers, managers and/or other staff as part of the Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for the business license. You and your employees' actions can have a direct impact on your license being suspended or revoked by the Department of Alcohol Beverage Control. These penalties may be mitigated if the involved seller/server has previously attended RBS training. In addition, some insurance companies offer lower premiums for businesses with this training.
This course provides you with the necessary knowledge and techniques you need to be a responsible seller of alcohol. RBS Training covers topics such as:
- Recognizing fraudulent ID's
- Sales to minors
- Sales to intoxicated persons
- After hour violations
- Avoiding disorderly/disruptive premise citations
Participants will receive hands on experience with actual drivers' licenses, both valid and fraudulent to learn how to recognize fake ID.
Attendees will receive a certificate of completion of RBS Training, valid for 2 years.
